Calcium Formate Physical and chemical nature: Molecular Formula: Ca(HCOO)2 Molecular Weight: 130.116 CAS NO.:544-17-2 white crystallization powder, and has slight moisture absorption and slight bitter. it is neutrality, is innocuous and is soluble in water. Application: 1.Feed grade: as new forage additive, calcium formate can make piglet fatten, promote appetite of piglet and decrease diarrhea rate. in the first several weeks after piglet weans, adding 1.5%of calcium formate in forage can make growth speed of piglet increase above 1.2%, and make forage conversion rate increase 4%. 2. Industrial Grade: It is used in construction. it is used as quick coagulant, lubricant and early strengthening agent of cement. it is used in construction mortar and various concretes so as to quicken hardening speed of cement and to shorten coagulation. especially in winter construction, it can avoid too slow coagulation speed and quick demoulding under low temperature, and make early strength increase and putting into use of cement. Reference dosage and precausions of calcium formate: Dosage of each tone of dry powder mortar and cement is about 0.5-1.0%, and maximium additive quantity is 2.5%. dosage of calcium formate increases with temperature decrease gradually, and can play obvious early strengthening effect even with dosage of 0.3-0.5% in summer.
